70-284 Implementing and Managing a Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 This course provides students with the knowledge and skills that are needed to update and support a reliable, secure messaging infrastructure. This infrastructure is used for creating, storing, and sharing information by using Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 in a medium-sized to large-sized (250 to 5,000 seats) messaging environment.

After completing this course, students will be able to:

n  Perform a clean installation of Exchange Server 2003 and verify that the installation was successful.

n  Describe the process for upgrading to Exchange Server 2003 from Exchange 2000.

n  Configure and manage Exchange Server 2003.

n  Manage interoperability between Exchange Server 2003 and Exchange 2000.

n  Secure Exchange Server 2003.

n  Manage recipients.

n  Manage public folders.

n  Manage address lists.

n  Implement and manage client access with Internet protocols.

n  Manage client configuration and connectivity.

n  Manage routing.

n  Manage mobile devices with Exchange Server 2003.

n  Manage data storage and hardware resources.

n  Plan for disaster and disaster recovery.

n  Back up and restore Exchange.

n  Perform preventive maintenance.

n  Migrate users from Exchange Server 5.5 to a separate Exchange Server 2003 organization.

 

Prerequisites

Before attending this course, students must havecompleted: Implementing, Managing, and Maintaining a Microsoft WindowsServer 2003 Network Infrastructure: Network Services, or haveequivalent knowledge and skills.
